Terms of Service
Effective 3 July 2026 · Applies to kashticket.ug
1. Who we are
KashTicket is an online ticketing platform operated in Kampala, Uganda. We provide the technology that lets event organisers list events, sell tickets, accept Mobile Money and card payments, and check guests in at the gate.
KashTicket sells tickets as an agent of the event organiser. The organiser — not KashTicket — is responsible for the event itself: the line-up, venue, schedule, entry conditions, and whether the event takes place.
2. Buying tickets
When you buy a ticket you pay the ticket price set by the organiser plus a clearly displayed service fee. All prices are in Ugandan Shillings (UGX) and are shown in full before you confirm payment — there are no hidden charges.
Tickets are delivered to the phone number you provide, via WhatsApp and SMS, as a secure link to your QR code. Keep that link private: anyone who has your QR code can use your ticket. Each QR code admits one person once.
Check your details before paying. Tickets are issued to the name and phone number entered at checkout.
3. Refunds
If an event is cancelled, you are entitled to a refund of the ticket price. Refunds go back to the payment method you paid with (e.g. your Mobile Money number) and normally reflect within 24–48 hours of being processed.
For other refund requests (change of plans, duplicate purchase, etc.), the organiser's refund policy applies. Contact the organiser first; our support team can help mediate if needed. Service fees may be non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
4. Selling tickets (organisers)
Organisers must provide accurate event information, hold any licences or permissions their event requires, and honour every valid ticket sold through KashTicket. Listing an event that you do not have the right or intention to hold is fraud and will be reported.
KashTicket charges organisers a platform commission (currently 3% of the ticket price) plus payment-gateway costs, both shown transparently in the dashboard. Ticket revenue, less fees and refunds, becomes available for payout after the event ends and is sent to the organiser's registered Mobile Money number.
We may withhold payouts, cancel listings, or suspend accounts where we reasonably suspect fraud, illegality, or a breach of these terms — including while a refund dispute is open.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use KashTicket to:
- resell tickets at inflated prices without the organiser's permission;
- copy, forge, or share QR codes with intent to gain entry more than once;
- list events that are unlawful, misleading, or that you do not control;
- attempt to breach, probe, or overload the platform's security or infrastructure.
6. Liability
We work hard to keep KashTicket available and reliable — including offline scanning so entry works even without internet at the gate — but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. To the maximum extent permitted by Ugandan law, KashTicket's liability to you is limited to the amount you paid to us in fees for the transaction concerned. We are not liable for the acts or omissions of organisers, payment networks, or telecom operators.
7. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; material changes will be announced on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and disputes fall under the jurisdiction of the Ugandan courts.
8. Contact
